MOVIES:
Megiddo: Omega Code 2
Over the weekend of September 30th, We took in the movie
Megiddo. Let me say first off, that this film is fictional and doesn't claim to be a uniquely Christian
film. My first and pleasant surprise was to note that the theater was actually packed. I honestly
was not expecting such a turn out. The movie story line is interesting, and the special effects are incredible. The characters
are very believable given today's world view. The story mostly centers around politics in the days
of a United Global world. There is the global world leader who leads the world in peace, and then the movie
takes a pleasant turn towards Biblical theology. The stunning portrayal of evil is very refreshing. I found
the movie to be entertaining and even spiritually uplifting. My only complaint regarding the film and
it's producers, is that they lacked the boldness to profess the name of Jesus Christ. Where it was
obvious that the name of Jesus should have been used, they chose to use the name "Nazarene". Not very
bold, and not what I was hoping for. To my delight, many people in the crowd actually shouted out the
name "Jesus" at that given moment in the film, and the sense of His victory filled my heart. I could sense
the disappointment in those people as well, but the end of the movie had the crowd cheering, and
proved that in the hearts of at least some people; there is delight in the Biblical outcome of Jesus Christ and
His righteousness, overcoming evil and the Devil. All in all, a good film worth taking the entire
family to see.
Definately worth renting or owning in your collection.
